Big companies hire online marketing agencies to manage their social media or have their own social media managers. Smaller companies tend to hire freelance social media managers to handle their accounts.

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll take care of many things like designing a social media strategy, creating new posts and ideas, creating graphics while adhering to brand guidelines or outsourcing that to other freelancers that are illustrators, replying to comments to establish a positive relationship with followers, and analyzing the success of your past posts to determine whether or not they are resonating with your client’s followers.
